Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 04 Book of the Stranger
No. 604. Title: Book of the Stranger. Directed by Daniel Sackheim. Written by David Benioff & D.B. Weiss. Original Air Date: May 15, 2016. Sinopse: Sansa, Brienne and Podrick arrive at Castle Black as the former is reunited with Jon Snow. At Winterfell, Osha attempts to assassinate Ramsay, but is killed herself in the process. Ramsay sends a letter to Jon, threatening harm to Rickon if Sansa is not returned. Jon resolves to march south and take back Winterfell. In Meereen, Tyrion meets with the slave masters of Slaver’s Bay to offer peace if they will end slavery within seven years, an action that angers Missandei and Grey Worm. Littlefinger returns to the Vale to mobilize their soldiers against Ramsay Bolton. In King’s Landing, Margarey is permitted to visit Loras while Cersei, Jamie, Kevan and Lady Olenna plan to stop the High Sparrow. Theon arrives at Pyke and explains to Yara that he will support her claim at the Kingsmoot. Daario and Jorah arrive at Vaes Dothrak, with the former discovering about the latter’s greyscale. Daenerys meets with the Khals and sets the temple on fire. When she emerges unhurt, the Dothraki bow to her.
Despite Grey Worm and Missandei’s objections, Tyrion arranges a diplomatic meeting with the masters of Slaver’s Bay. He proposes a deal allowing all cities except Meereen seven years to transition away from slavery, while the masters are compensated for any losses. In return, the masters will cease their support of the Sons of the Harpy. As the masters deliberate, Tyrion is confronted by the former slaves of Meereen, who oppose any kind of negotiation with the masters. Grey Worm and Missandei reluctantly support Tyrion, but in private they warn him that the masters, whom they are both familiar with, will use him if he tries to use them.
GREY WORM: You invite the enemy into our city?
TYRION: I did. As a clever man once told me “We make peace with our enemies, not our friends.”
GREY WORM: I don’t make peace with the queen’s enemies. I kill the queen’s enemies.
TYRION: Yes, that’s the military approach. And how has that worked here in Meereen? I represent the diplomatic approach.
MISSANDEI: Our queen tried to make peace with the Masters and they tried to murder her.
TYRION: We enter these negotiations with open eyes. Trust me.
TYRION: I imagine this room was built so the rulers could intimidate the ruled. But I am not your ruler. I’m not the Breaker of Chains. I’m not the Unburnt. And I am certainly not the Mother of Dragons.
MAN: You are a stranger here. So why do you represent Meereen in these talks with our enemies?
TYRION: Because our queen chose me as her advisor. Until she returns from her travels–
MAN: When does she return?
TYRION: Soon. You have my word.
MAN: We don’t know you. We don’t trust you. We know Torgo Nudho. We fight with him against the Masters. We trust him.
TYRION: And that is exactly why Grey Worm took part in these negotiations. As commander of the Unsullied, he knows how to defeat the slavers and he knows when it is time to make peace.
MAN: You have made peace with the slavers?
TYRION: We offered terms.
