Sinopse: Jon Snow reveals himself to the wildlings and promptly executes Alliser Thorne, Olly and the other officers involved in his assassination for treason. He leaves Castle Black, leaving Edd in charge of the Night’s Watch. On a boat on their way to Oldtown, Sam states his intent to leave Gilly and her baby with his family at Horn Hill while he trains to be a maester. In a vision, Bran sees his father and Lord Howland Reed kill Ser Arthur Dayne at the Tower of Joy in Dorne. In Vaes Dothrak, Daenerys is inducted into the Dosh Khaleen. Varys discovers the masters of Astapor, Yunkai and Volantis have been financing the Sons of the Harpy. In Kings Landing, Tommen converses with the High Sparrow while Jaime and Cersei interrupt a small council meeting, only to be shunned by Lord Kevan and the Tyrells. Arya trains rigorously with the Waif and her sight is finally returned to her once she has accepted herself as “no-one”. Lord Umber asks Ramsay for help in protecting the North from the Wildlings, bringing Rickon Stark and Osha as a gift.
Varys summons Vala, a woman allied with the Sons of the Harpy, to the throne room in the Great Pyramid. He accuses her of conspiring to kill the Unsullied and Second Sons, but she replies in calling them foreign invaders. Varys tries to explain his perspective and mentions her son, Dhom. Vala explains that if she gives him information on the Sons of the Harpy they will likely kill her. Varys offers her safe passage to Pentos with a bag of silver for information.
VARYS: I’d like to make you happy, Vala. That’s your name, isn’t it, Vala? That’s all right. I know who you are and what you’ve done. You’ve done a lot. You’ve sacrificed your body for a cause, which is more than most people do. And you’ve helped the Sons of the Harpy murder the Unsullied and the Second Sons.
VALA: The Unsullied and the Second Sons are foreign soldiers brought here by a foreign queen to destroy our city and our history.
VARYS: I understand. Well, that makes perfect sense from your perspective. I have a different perspective, of course. I think it’s important that you try to see things from my perspective just as I will try to see them from yours. Because that is the only way that I can make you and Dom happy. That is how you pronounce it… Dom? I’m afraid I don’t really speak the language. Such a handsome boy. Those big, brown eyes. Good luck keeping the ladies away.
VALA: Yes, you’re a true liberator, aren’t you? You won’t torture me, you’ll just threaten my son.
VARYS: Children are blameless. I have never hurt them. Your boy is in no immediate danger, this I swear to you. But between us, dear, you did conspire to kill the queen’s soldiers. We both know the penalty for that crime. How will poor Dom get on without his mother? And with his breathing problem.
VALA: If I tell you anything, they’ll kill me. So either you kill me or they do.
VARYS: Yes, from your perspective, this is a problem. There is a third option, though. A ship leaving tomorrow for Pentos. I’ve already booked passage for a woman and her young son. I’ll even throw in a bag of silver to help you start again. Though I’m afraid we’ll have to ask one of our leather-clad friends back in to carry it. Far too heavy for me. The boat sails at dawn. You need to decide now. A new life for you and Dom or…
Meanwhile, Tyrion tries to entertain Grey Worm and Missandei while waiting for Varys. Varys arrives and explains that he has discovered that the slave masters of Yunkai, Astapor, and Volantis have been financing the Sons of the Harpy. Grey Worm notes that the Unsullied have taken Astapor and Yunkai once before, but Tyrion warns him that marching on the cities will leave Meereen defenseless. They come to the conclusion that the only way to defeat the Sons of the Harpy is to hunt them down. Tyrion asks Varys to send his little birds to deliver a message to the leaders of Astapor, Yunkai, and Volantis.
TYRION: Oh, you took your time.
VARYS: Sorry. I was busy learning who funds the Sons of the Harpy. Some things you can’t rush.
MISSANDEI: You found out?
VARYS: The Good Masters of Astapor and the Wise Masters of Yunkai. With help from their friends in Volantis.
TYRION: You see? You don’t even have to worry about the local rebellion. We only have to worry about the three rich foreign cities paying for it.
GREY WORM: We conquered Astapor and Yunkai once. We will do it again and execute the Masters.
TYRION: If the Unsullied march off to reconquer Astapor and Yunkai, who will remain to defend the free people of Meereen?
GREY WORM: If we do not fight them, how can we stop them?
MISSANDEI: We cannot. The Masters speak only one language. They spoke it to me for many years. I know it better than my mother tongue. If we want them to hear us, we must speak it back to them. May it be the last thing they ever hear.
TYRION: You may be right.
GREY WORM: So we will fight them?
TYRION: It’s a conversation. Tell me, can your little birds get a message to the Good Masters of Astapor, the Wise Masters of Yunkai, and benevolent enslavers of Volantis?
VARYS: Of course. Men can be fickle, but birds I always trust.
In Vaes Dothrak
Daenerys arrives with Khal Moro’s khalasar at Vaes Dothrak, and is escorted to meet with the Dosh Khaleen by Moro’s bloodriders. The elder of the Dosh Khaleen tries to sympathize with Daenerys, saying she was once married to a great khal whom she thought she would rule the world with but met the same fate. After giving Dany a change of clothes, she explains that the various khalasar have gathered at Vaes Dothrak to discuss which cities and towns to conquer. They have also met to discuss what to do with Danaerys, noting that she hopes for her safety should they decide to let her remain with the Dosh Khaleen.
